Hopetoun Beachside Caravan Park
Having stayed in this caravan park a few days it is very difficult to explain the ambiance of this place. It kinda feels like a cross between a 1970s caravan park and a bush camp within private property with security and facilities. The caravan park it self has no made roads no garden beds but lots of native plants and trees and looks mostly well maintained. The amenities are old looking but are well maintained and are very functional. There is a toilet block,a kitchen and laundry. The caravan park has a beautiful beach on two sides with only a sand dune separating you from the beautiful white sands of the beach. You can hear the waves crashing against the beach. The sun sets are also amazing. There is also plenty to keep the kids amused. The small town which the caravan park is located has a supermarket, chemist, Dr surgery and a bakery. There is also a very good boat ramp located 100 meters away. I would have to say if you are looking for a big 4 type caravan park where everything is manicured, you won’t find it here. At first glance the caravan park seems to need some TLC but if you take a few minutes to look it’s a well maintained caravan park with a native bush setting. There are also cabins for hire. At first glance it’s a unusual set up, but if you give them a chance they are self contained, friendly, with clean linen and comfortable beds, and and a view of the tree tops from the verandas. The caravan park seems to be privately owned and the owners treat their guests with respect and courtesy. A must place to stay and is reasonable priced.

Nice site, some pitches quite private and enclosed. Very close to a lovely beach. The pitch we were on had a pathway leading to the beach. Dog friendly (if kept on a leash - like most sites) . Amenities dated but very clean. Only stayed a night but would stay again if passing that way.

Wow this place bought me back to my childhood days of beach caravan parks. We had an easy drive through site. Facilities were good, place was quiet and easy walk to pub and beach.Follow us Sweet-Az RV'n on YT

This is probably the worst caravan park (like a shanty town) I have stayed in to date. There is a lot of potential to make it a nice caravan park but it looks like it will need a lot of work as it is quite dilapidated. The sites (with slabs) have no grass, black dusty sand everywhere, junk around certain areas (tyres, cars, metal, wood etc) all in full view, fish cleaning area is horrible no stainless steel bench top instead there is a couple of old timber planks (bit unhealthy) especially when it’s left uncleaned and blowfies are hanging around, poor signage to the fish cleaning area and caravan bays, toilet blocks (were kept clean) do require hand towels or hand dryers, lighting in the same is very poor, no bench tops next to wash basins. There is one place with seating and a table on top of a dune to look at the oceanview but could do with a gazebo over it. It would be great to have a bigger setup of the viewing area with a gazebo so that small groups could go there to socialise and watch the views.A couple of better beach access points would be be great.Music/noise had to be off by 21:00hrs most places the curfew is 22:00hrs.It is not a location that makes you want to return as it is so rundown and has not much of pleasant vibe.☹️

Nicely located, however facilities were dirty, camp kitchen grubby and grease stained, showers dirty and tired. Not recommended unless you have full facilities in your van.

What a great cabin. We got number 9. It was fully equipped and newly renovated. Everything was very clean and comfortable. In the evening you could hear the sound of the sea from the veranda. How romantic! It was only a few steps on foot through the dunes to the beach. Very cool and friendly staff. We would like to come again. Thanks very much.

Staff were friendly stayed in a cabin very basic, sink tiny difficult to make use of, room not clean and expected to clean before leaving which I do being a tidy person but should of been cleaned properly in the first place, park run down not worth the cost of the accommodation. Not what I am looking just found it had an empty atmosphere won't be back. The beach at park didn't feel safe to swim in dark green and went deep quickly nothing like the pictures of clear blue water.

Old style caravan park, which is not a problem. However, unfortunately the central camp kitchen was very unclean for about 5 days in a row. The floor near the BBQ was covered in grease. The BBQ and kitchen appeared to only be 'cleaned' once a week, leaving a massive build up of grease and dirt. The showers and toilets were not clean most likely due to the the large holiday crowd over the holiday season. Management needs to arrange cleaning twice a day during the holiday period. I would have given 4 stars if cleaning was far more frequent .

Small old but tidy CP in a beautiful progressive WA town. Great beaches as you would expect on this coast and plenty to see in the Fitzgerald National Park. Good food and coffee available from multiple shops. Great Bakery.
